February 2013 Member Spotlight
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
NAWBO-SA Member Since 1998
Elise Cox, President
Building brands is what drive Elise’s success. As president of Ad Graphics, Cox has over 30 years’ experience helping companies grow to the next level by building brand power through strategic planning.
“Successful business owners know 90% of what it takes to succeed. My job is to add the 10% it takes to get them to the next level.” Cox says her objective is to help clients understand two things: first, that change is inevitable, and to grow, companies need to manage change to achieve a competitive advantage; and second, brands form by either default or by design, so companies need a Brand Strategy to build and protect their brand to achieve that competitive advantage.
Over the years, Cox has worked with many NAWBO-SA members on building a brand strategy. NAWBO-SA Member, Beth Coyle, employed Ad Graphics in 2008 and had this to say: “Your Brand Survey has been one of the most effective marketing tools we’ve ever seen! Now that we are “armed” with this information, we need to stay focused on the message and to continue building the brand power that will take Coyle Engineering to the next level.” Building that ‘brand power’ led to the successful acquisition in 2012 of Coyle Engineering by Spalding De Decker Associates headquartered in Michigan.
Cox has been a NAWBO-SA member since 1998 and is a past president of the chapter. “I am passionate about NAWBO’s mission to advocate, mentor, and encourage the success of women entrepreneurs. Being part of NAWBO has not only benefited my business, but has enriched me personally. I am privileged that many of my NAWBO sisters are now some of my dearest friends.”
Ms. Cox currently serves by appointment on the Bexar County Small, Minority, and Women-owned Business Enterprise Program Advisory Committee; serves on the Marketing Committee for the San Antonio Manufacturers Association; and the Education Committee for Associated General Contractors-San Antonio Chapter. Cox is Past President of the San Antonio Gun Club, co-founder of the Women’s Shooting League, and a Certified Skeet Instructor.
We are excited to spotlight you as the February 2013 NAWBO-SA Member of the Month!
