September 2013 President's Message
Looking for a meaningful, long-term relationship? Then you are likely a relational type of person, and you’ve found the right place! When people ask me about NAWBO, I often tell them that there are two types of “networking” organizations in San Antonio—the transactional OR the relational type. Because NAWBO leads with a cause, we are so much more than a networking group. That said, we DO network and do business with each other; however, we prefer to do business with those we get to know, like, and grow to respect. In life, it takes time to build friendships, but in the long run, we find they are worth it. Wouldn’t you agree?
If you are looking for a meaningful, long-term mutually beneficial relationship—one that will help you grow both personally and professionally—then NAWBO-SA is the organization for you. If you already belong, invite a friend! We might just be what that person has been looking for or needs in his/her life too.
If you would like to learn more about NAWBO and NAWBO-SA please watch my inaugural address at our June 2013 Annual Appreciation Banquet.
Video streaming by UstreamThis month during our Women Mean Business Meeting, we will focus on PROPEL and hear from others who have broken through the glass ceiling and successfully competed in a male-dominated industry. Who doesn’t love that?!
In October, we have much to anticipate! We’ll kick off the month with Cocktail Connections at the Hard Rock Café on October 1, where we have fun in a relaxed environment, and then close out the month with our Annual Trade Show on October 24, where we get an opportunity to learn about each other’s businesses.
Together we will connect, empower, and propel each other to greatness. Won’t you join me?
