Membership Types and Dues

When you join NAWBO, you join both the local and the national organization. Dues are billed on an anniversary basis (i.e., if you join in June 2011, your renewal is due in June 2012). When joining, select from one of the following categories:

Established Business Owner

For the woman business owner who has been in business for more than two (2) years and lives in the Greater San Antonio area. Enjoys a regular voting category, receives all communications and publications, is eligible for all discounts and benefits, receives member pricing at local events, has login permissions to the website member amenities, and is listed in the Member Directory. To qualify for membership, must own a percentage of her company.
Annual Dues: $295 (Local:$95/National:$200)

Emerging Business Owner

For the new woman business owner in business for two (2) years or less or who has not yet started her business and lives in the Greater San Antonio area.  This non-voting category member receives all communications and publications, is eligible for all discounts and benefits, receives member pricing at local events, has login permissions to the website member amenities, and is listed in the Member Directory.
Annual Dues: $245 (Local:$95/National:$150)

Sustaining Member

A business owner and is a Chapter Member or an At-Large Member who wishes to support the organization in a larger monetary way and gain additional benefits. A member in this classification has one (1) vote total.
Annual Dues: $445 (Local:$95/National:$350)

At-Large Member

For someone whose business/residence is not located within the Greater San Antonio area (45 mile radius.) At-Large Members are individuals, partners, or stockholders of a woman-owned business who exercise the power to make policy decisions and are actively involved in the day-to-day management of the business. This regular voting category member is under the supervision of NAWBO National. All must belong to a local chapter of NAWBO if one exists in their area.
Annual Dues: $315 (Local:$95/National:$220)

Student Member

Local students enjoy all of the benefits of regular membership. Student members are full-time students at a school or university, believe in NAWBO-SA's objectives, and intend to start a business. Applicants in this category are non-voting members and must submit their applications along with proof of full-time student status directly to NAWBO-SA, not via NAWBO National.
Annual Dues: $175 annually (Local:$25/National:$150).

Supporting Member

This non-business owner supports the objectives of NAWBO-SA and wants to support the chapter through membership. This classification constitutes up to 10% of the voting membership and is a non-voting member. Applicants in this category must submit their applications directly to NAWBO-SA, not via NAWBO National.
Annual Dues: $295 (Local:$95/National:$200) 

Retired Member

A former Chapter or At-Large member of NAWBO for at least five years, this member has sold her business, divested her interest, or is no longer in her business. Regular voting category. Applicants in this category are regular voting members and must submit their applications along with proof of full-time student status directly to NAWBO-SA, not via NAWBO National.
Annual Dues: $245 (Local:$95/National:$150)
