Dr. Whitney H. Mitchell, MD

Whitney H. Mitchell, MD is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist in private practice in New Braunfels, Texas. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Mitchell received a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Texas A&M University. She attended medical school at University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio where she graduated in the top ten percentile of her class and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed a residency in Psychiatry in San Antonio at University Hospital, Audie Murphy VA Hospital, and Wilford Hall Medical Center in both outpatient and acute inpatient settings.
Dr. Mitchell has been in private practice in New Braunfels for 11 years. She specializes in evidence-based treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, and personality and relational problems.
Dr. Mitchell is LGBTQ+-friendly and is fluent in Spanish.
