What I LOVE about NAWBO - Pam Goble

December 09, 2022 12:35 PM | Anonymous

Hello everyone,

My name is Pam Potyka-Goble and I am the owner of Ability HomeCare. I have been involved with NAWBO since 2012. I found the experience of being a woman business owner lonely and sometimes overwhelming. Meeting other women business owners made me feel that I wasn’t alone for the first time. I found confidence in myself  and I found friends who I could confide in that genuinely liked me. I felt connected. This is the only organization outside of my church that I belong to. Why, because I believe in the mission of NAWBO -women business owners who support our mission to empower women entrepreneurs, regardless of race, religion, age, sexual orientation, natural origin or disability. We may look different on the outside but we are all the same on the inside.

As a Past President, I met with new members for coffee; which proved another great way of connecting. I am currently on the board of the NAWBO-SA Foundation, which runs the High School Mentorship Program and I love the connection we have established with young high school girls; being able to provide guidance and letting them know they can do anything through conferences and mentorship opportunities. In addition, I sit on the President’s Assembly Steering Committee as a PASC Rep for National NAWBO acting as a liaison with National and local chapters. All of these experiences with women at the National level, within our own SA Chapter and with the HSMP have helped shape who I am today. Connecting with others and being able to give back is what I love most about NAWBO!

Please reach out to me if you have any questions on how to get connected!

Secretary, NAWBO-SA Foundation
