After traveling to destinations near and far, including time living in England, Karen Killough and her husband Kent put their mind to creating a mission-driven destination centered around craft beer and local food in the Texas Hill Country. They opened Vista Brewing in 2018 in the beautiful town of Driftwood, just southwest of Austin, with a focus on experience and local sourcing. The 21-acre ranch includes a brewery & tasting room, farm-to-table restaurant, vegetable farm, apiary, live music and private event spaces. The company also opened Vista Brewing All Day Café & Tap Room in San Antonio in 2023.
